Travel routeFrom OsloTo get to the West Cape region from Oslo is easy, just follow the E6 all the way through Hamar, Lillehammer till Otta. From Otta, you cross the river and follows Rv.15, to Lom, Sjåk, Stryn, Nordfjoreid till Maurstad. From Maurstad, you follows Rv.61, over the small mountain. At the other side of the mountain, you will find Åheim. When you have crossed the river at Åheim, you may continue straight ahead, for about 1 km, over a small hill. When you have declaimed this small hill and crossed the small river, you will find three houses on your left side. We live in the white house in the middle. We will follow you to the house/cabin/cottage. If you cannot find where we live, then you can ask for the way at the BunkerOil gas station at Åheim. Or you may call us from the BunkerOil gas station and wait there till we come. From BergenFrom Bergen you just follows E39 all the way till Nordfjordeid. From Nordfjordeid, you follow the same route as from Oslo. MapClick here to see a map of Norway. The route from Oslo till Åheim/West-Cape is marked in red... Important information about fueling in Åheim! The former Shell gas station at Åheim has been reconstructed and has changed name to Bunker Oil. You can no longer buy gas with cash, only with VISA or MasterCard. You would also need your PIN-code. Alternative gas stations where you can still use cash, is the gas station at Selje or Fiskåbygd. Generally you would get a better exchange rate when you pay with VISA or MasterCard, than if you pay cash. |
